Sadly this years Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal ‘Walk for Wards’ which usually takes place at the beautiful ground of Wilton House had to understandably be cancelled.
Along with many other charities, the Stars Appeal relies on events such as this to help them continue the work they do. The Stars Appeal fund additional services above that provided by the NHS and have been doing even more in recent months to support the dedicated NHS workers at the hospital.
They encouraged those who would have normal joined thousands of people on the walk to walk their own “Walk Wherever You Are Walk for Wards’ this year.
Our MD Lynne who is currently in training with 49 other local people ahead of a Desert Trek to Petra, led a small group of Stars Appeal Trekkers both past and present on a 10K walk from Pepperbox Hill in Salisbury.
A few fancy dress costumes were donned and most importantly extra funds were raised that went straight to the Stars Appeal to help them continue the brilliant work they do!
