Many of you will know that last year our MD Lynne was part of a team of Salisbury Trekkers that travelled to China to Wall the Great Wall of China in support of Salisbury District Hospitals Stars Appeal Charity. In 2020 she will be heading off to Jordan to trek to the ancient city of Petra to support them again.

Before she leaves on the 23rd April 2021 she will be fundraising again and although the Covid-19 outbreak has meant some of her planned fundraising events have been postponed she decided to take on the 2.6 Challenge on Sunday 26th April!

The London Marathon which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019. Many of these charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, so they created the #TwoPointSixChallenge – a chance to be a “Home Hero and raise funds from your very own living room, bedroom, balcony or garden”.

Lynne is lucky enough to live in a beautiful village just outside of Salisbury with open fields and local footpaths so decided to do a series of 2.6 mile walking loops around the village with her China mascot Zou Zou and newest Jordan mascot H2O on her back!

She really enjoyed her challenge and she and her husband donated to her Just Giving page that supports the Salisbury Hospitals Charity.

There’s still time for you to complete you own challenge and support you own favourite local charity!
